Mauchline Floral White Ware Box with Verse & Six Tuxedo Studs West's Patent Rare

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors’ collections over the years. This is one that I have never seen. This hinged box with a Floral White Ware cover displays a white flower, resembling a Carnation and in addition has a short verse of forget me not, etc. The box is felt and silk lined and houses four enamel tuxedo shirt studs and two brass studs. On the inside lid is an advertisement for West’s Patent, presumably the maker of the studs.
The piece measures 1 3/8″ tall,
4 3/8″
long and is 2.5″ deep. It is in overall excellent condition with no apparent flaws, but please look at the pictures to see the overall condition. White spots, if any, are camera glare.  Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the auction or the sale may be voided.
